Product Description:
Can you imagine valuing a book so much that you send the author a Thank You letter?

Hundreds of thousands of project managers understand why PMP Exam Prep by Rita Mulcahy, PMP, is a worldwide best-seller. Is it Rita's years of PMP exam preparation experience? The endless hours of ongoing research? The interviews with project managers who failed the exam, to identify gaps in their knowledge? Or is it the razor-sharp focus on making sure project managers don't waste a single minute of their time studying any more than they absolutely have to? Actually, it's all of the above.

PMP Exam Prep, Sixth Edition by Rita Mulcahy contains hundreds of updates and improvements from previous editions--including new exercises and sample questions never before in print. Offering hundreds of sample questions, critical time-saving tips plus games and activities available nowhere else, this book will help you pass the PMP exam on your FIRST try.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Best prep for passing PMP exam
I started out studying for the PMP exam using a variety of materials (audio CD's, flash cards, PowerPoints, books).
In the end I just stuck with Rita's book "PMP Exam Prep". Lot's of great tips for passing the exam in Chapters 1 and 14. I know these tips helped me get a few more questions correct when I had narrowed the choice to two answers but wasn't sure which one. Lot's of "Tricks of the Trade" throughout the book and if something needed to be memorized she has a "Memorize This" symbol. ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Good Investment
I like the 'tricks of the trade' tips and study aids. The book does break things down into understandable and practical terms. I am just in the beginning, but I feel this book, along with online practice tests, will definitely help me to prepare and pass the PMP certification exam. I am awaiting approval of my application, so it won't be long now. I would recommend this product to anyone. Also, definitely buy it from Amazon, as it is cheaper and Rita probably isn't losing that money on the sale. ... Read More

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Somewhat good study guide
After reading all the reviews (some good, some bad) I decided to be impartial and purchase this studyguide. Most of the reviews are accurate about the style of writing, (i.e., condesending, and discouraging). It is somewhat discouraging for a beginner who is trying to get in the field of PM to read someone telling you "if you don't have any PM experience, you should not attempt this exam". However, I still use this guide to get the information that I need to pass the exam!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Very nice book
This book is very helpful for who desires pass in the PMP Exam by its completeness, as well the way that the author explores the subjects. I recommend it for everybody (no matters if you will take the exam or not).

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - You want this book, just not for passing the exam.
I would give this book 5 stars if not for the bias in it and that is really is not so much an "Exam Prep" book like the title would indicate. It is however a wonderful resource that I will use often and would recommend to anyone that performs project management. Rita's bias toward wanting only those that really perform PM and those that really understand PM principles should pass the exam is a noble one, though not the norm in this society. With the additions of the, "why you might fail the exam" sections ... Read More
