ok sure, $85 is pricey, BUT my college bookstore sells it new at $200 and used at $150!! and you only get $34 trade in for it. here at amazon i get it new at $85 and i can tade it back for over $70 amazon credit! from now on all college students should buy books here, remember, if your a college student, sign up for free amazon prime for additional discounts and $3.99 1-day shipping on any item that is prime eligible or FREE 2-day shipping on any prime eligible item! i love you amazon!!!

This is an excelent manual. I have been in the teaching industry for more than 10 years and found this manual to hit right on the spot. For easy flow and the graphic are the greatest.
The videos on the CD are not that great but for the most part I would highly recommend to any teaching body and student wanting to learn or teach CompTIA A+.

This is awesome study material. Makes the topic exciting because they are great visual aides in the book which makes the topic you're studying more realistic. The 2006 edition lacked this. They've incorporated these visual COLOR enhancements along with a DVD. DVD has video clips to help illustrate practical applications. This is great for a novice. Someone with previous experience may not need this, but it certainly can be used to reinforce what you already know and also as reference material. ... Read More

The book is fine .. except .. the best it can do is to briefly cover 1000s of subjects that could easily take a chapter each. And then you want to take an A+ exam that assumes depth in coverage. Impossible. Either the author does not know this, or is not willing to accept responsibility for making the reader believe they are becoming a trained PC tech merely by reading this book.
