Product Description: Publishing Rationale - Building on the success of the first two editions - The first edition of A+ Certification Study Guide sold over 16, 000 units and the second edition has sold over 19,500 units. - Revised Exam - This edition will focus on the major revisions of the A+ exams. - CompTIA's A+ continued growth and benefit - As of March, 2000 there are over 180,000 A+ Technicians worldwide. This vendor-neutral certification benefits the employer by maximizing efficiency in recruiting, hiring, and training and the employee by providing transferable skills and a career path. CompTIA has yet to release exam objectives for the new A+ exams. A beta exam is planned for October, with revised objectives being released in September, and the revisions to the A+ content expected in December of 2000. A revised Table of Contents will be available after objectives have been released by CompTIA. Changes to the A+ exam may include: 1. Elimination of the Windows 3.1 objectives and items 2. Elimination of the Customer Satisfaction objectives and items 3.
