I got the All in One CISSP to study for the exam based on the reviews of other readers. I have to say that I'm dismayed by the poor writing style of the author, Shon Harris, and if I had it to do over again, I'd get a different study guide.
In the book, Ms. Harris seems to delight in inserting attempts at jokes throughout the text. Each major section opens with a nonsensical one liner, such as "I want my training to have a lot of pictures and pop-up books" or to open a section on the security ... Read More

I bought the third edition of this book in October 2009 to prepare for the exam. The reason for buying that instead of this fifth edition is obvious. It cost me only $2.95 plus $4.00 shipping. I was a little worry at the beginning because of the new material that was added since 2005. However, I though I can supplement with material in the internet. I find this book to be very well written and contains alot of updated materials. I was getting a bit upset that I couldnt find a updated reference material until I found out about this edition. I would recommend this book to anyone who is attempting to get their CISSP. I've just started reading the book today and managed to get to Chapter 3. This book is very well written, and the cd contains multiple PDF's, that I use to read on my cell phone. I also like how the PDF's are broken down into chapters. ... Read More
